Valentine seasonal: Love versus Lust
Another season is here again to celebrate the bravery and contorted defiance of a certain St Valentinus. Looking deep and reviewing the acts of the man, one thing sticks; he was an embodiment of what love is; that is reaching out, giving hope and providing support. His eventual execution is in essence a replica of what the world does with genuine love or how genuine love is regarded. It is in truth, treated high handedly and those that offer it are mostly at the end of the brunt. Case in point, even Jesus Christ himself was never genuinely loved. Okay, we are celebrating Valentine's Day and for those of us that are all fired up for a fun filled day of activities with whoever, we may wager at my seeming muttering of genuine love. Yes! We all await this peculiar day earnestly, fantasizing about the gifts, the texts, the places to be visited, the snacks, views and all the fun to be had.
